'Money Pools' and 'Accounts' are similar but not the same. Money Pools are a way for you to logically organise your savings into individual goals and segments that make sense to you (e.g. VAT Reserve). Money Pools also have some additional features that sit on top of accounts (e.g. nudges), which help our customers organise and manage their money better.
'Accounts' are simply a full list of the accounts that you hold and represent regulated products provided to you by Griffin Bank Ltd.
Although currently, we open an Easy Access Saving Account (provided by Griffin), for every Money Pool and/or Piggy Bank you create, in the future this is likely to change as we add additional financial products.
As a result, in the future it may be possible for a single Money Pool to contain multiple financial products (e.g. Easy Access Savings and Term Deposit Savings).
For this reason to tend to encourage our customers to use Money Pools in the first instance to manage their money, but if customers need to check the core account-level detail they can access this via Accounts.
