In order to deposit or withdraw funds from your Marygold account you need to nominate / select one of your external bank current accounts to be your 'Primary Account'.
The Primary Account is really just a label that is assigned to your chosen external current account. Once set it can be changed (via the Profile settings section of the app), but any change will be subject to a check that the account holder name always matches..
Your Primary Account must have the same account holder name as your Marygold account.
There are two ways to specify your Primary Account.
Via Your First Deposit
For all new Marygold customers, initially they'll be no external account linked. Although many of the Marygold app features require account linking, it is optional and the Marygold app will work without external account links (for example if you did want want to use any of the features that require account linking).
If no external accounts have been linked, then when you make your first deposit to Marygold via the Marygold app, upon receipt of funds, and validation that the 'Payer Account Name' matches the 'Marygold Account Holder Name', we will set the paying account as the 'Primary Account'.
There is nothing more you need to do.
Via Linking an External Account
If you have not yet made a deposit, and you have decided to link one (or more) external bank accounts, you have the option of nominating one of the linked external accounts to be your 'Primary Account'.
